Japan has produced a lot of popular animes, and one of them is Naruto. Naruto has also appeared on various consoles. But it was not until March 7, 2006 that the first Naruto game which was known as Naruto: Gekito Ninja Taisen and Naruto Saikyo Ninja Daikesshu was released in North America and other non-Japanese countries under the title Naruto: ninja Council. The game has similar mechanics from that of its Japanese version except that it was dubbed in English.

Naruto PSP games are usually a mix of good and bad reviews. Most Naruto PSP games are being enjoyed by the hard-core fans of the anime.

The most usual concept of Naruto PSP games are fighting games. But sometimes, it uses a Mario Brothers-like approach to its gameplay. Currently, the most popular Naruto PSP games are the following:

*Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes – the original Naruto PSP games for the gaming system. The game differs from the Japanese version because it has additional three characters and three stages. This game features Game Sharing.

*Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 – Released in Japan as Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel 3. This is the first from the slew of Naruto PSP games that consists of the sixth season characters of the animation. This is the very first game from among the Naruto PSP games that includes 50 playable characters. This is the first game to contain Pain, Konan, Toad Sage Jiraiya, Young Kakashi. Obito Uchiha, Tobi and Kabuto-maru as playable characters as well as Minato Namikaze’s voice for the first time.

*Naruto: Akatsuki Rising – One of the most hyped Naruto PSP games. According to reviews the voice acting and graphics are phenomenal. But, that’s getting me something that only diehard fans that animation will enjoy.
