Pocket dogs seemed to be the most liked pets these days.   Why?  Because owners can bring them anywhere and anytime and people just adore pocket dogs!  You can take your small dog to the beach, at a party, at your friend’s house, at the church, etc.  All you need is a heavy-duty purse that will carry your one-of-a-kind pet.  There are many kinds of pocket dogs.  The most common are Chihuahua, pugs, beagles, and poodles.

When buying one, you should first assess yourself as a pet owner.  Determine what you want in a pet.  Do you like a petite or chubby pocket dog?  Do you want a puppy that can easily catch up with new tricks?  Do you like a pet that doesn’t require much feeding or attention?  If you’re working, you must be sure that whenever you’re in the office, you can still take care of your dog.  Pocket dogs are so small that you can fit them into your purse but some offices don’t allow pets inside.  Just in case your boss will not let you bring your pet in the office, make sure you have someone to look after him.

The next thing you need to do is find out all information you can get about your dog.  Supposed you decide to get Chihuahua as your pet.  So that you can properly take care of your dog, know his innate characteristics, expressions, and reactions.  It is also important that you are aware of the behavior of Chihuahuas.  Dogs in general, are very loving and loyal.  But still, it is imperative that you understand them.  Know the right food and time of feeding.  It is recommended that you consult your veterinarian before you take your dog home.  Ask if he needs some vitamins or supplements and let him undergo physical exam to make sure he’s in the right condition.

Last but not the least; you should be able to manage your time well to give your dog quality time.  Well, since pocket dogs are very convenient to carry, there will be no problem to spend quality time with them.  Just be extra careful and cautious of your pet.  You don’t want to lose your loving and pretty pet just like that.

If you’re thinking of getting pet dog, there are many things that you need first to consider prior buying one.  Dogs are no just pet toys.  They do have emotions too and they get sick; they get happy; they get sad just like you.  Having a pet is like being a parent.  You need to spend time, effort, and love to your pet.
